Skunk2 knob vs. stock DC2 knob----which is lighter?
Is the Skunk2 shift **** lighter than a stock DC2 ****? I know quite a few here use the S2 ****. I have a '98 GS-R if that makes any difference. I want to buy a MOMO Aluminum Sport ****, which Neuspeed tells me is 281.2 grams. Skunk2 says theirs weighs in at 440 grams, so if that's lighter than stock then obviously the MOMO **** would be lighter, also. (I don't want a **** that's heavier than stock.) Thanks.

unless ur gonna use a concrete block for a shift ****, basically anything u put on top of it will do fine. Waste of money IMHO.
Cool, thanks for the info. To answer the above, heavier ***** decrease the notchiness during shifting, essentially making it feel smoother. By extension, this smoothness would probably allow for better and quicker shifts. Of course I know it won't make me faster.
But, I've always liked my shifting action to be slightly notchy. Very well accomplished on my old EJ8 with a super light DC Sports **** and Prothane shifter bushings.
On my Civic, I actually did try GReddy's counterweight **** (I think you could knock someone out with it
), and I absolutely hated it. That one felt like it weighed ******* 5 pounds, though.
It's all personal preference, and what I'm going for is the shifting FEEL.
