There is one bulb (witch lights the numbers) on top of the control unit. Rest of the bulbs are inside. There is total of 3 or bulbs in the unit, if i can remember it right.

You have to separate one cover of the piece (the black one) from the back. Then you can see the bulbs. The heat control's light is near the **** when you are looking from the back.

Be careful with it. I think most of the honda heads here HAVE broken something when removing (or installing) the unit.

The bulbs are in small sockets that unscrew with a flatblade..
Probably best to remove the unit from the dash so you can get to everything:

Haha, no that's just a round thing sticking out of the back of it. I took my cc out and it started breaking into peices where the screws go in, and finally it split in two around the ****.

I used an entire tub of "plastic weld" epoxy putting it all back together...Its ok now, but shesh, what a nightmare!

Honda did not want you to replace the bulb itself
but I did so using bulbs from http://www.lightbulbdepot.com..

24907a Z 8640 14V .08AMP T 1-1/4
is the number on the receipt.. =about a dollar a bulb.
{The smaller one you might try Radio Shack...}

It would have been $50-60 to
replace the five bulbs/sockets through Honda...

the bulbs are so small it would be pretty hard to dye them - i tried that, didnt work, and ended up soldering a serial circuit of red christmas lights in place of the old light bulbs (dont do that ) but they all burned out after a week ... all just to match the red gauges tsk tsk, im getting another unit next week though whats the best stuff to use for painting light bulbs?
