Default 400hp 310tq turbocharged civic hatch ......quarter mile run

I am trying to figure out if the owner is bull shitting me or not. He said he ran 12.3 at 132mph. I He also said he had traction problems. I think the time is ok butI wanna call bullshit on the high mph. It is possible for him to trap that high in the quarter in a 95 ungutted civic hatch.

y not just wait till he gets back to see the slip, or is that too logical?

It certainly is possible to trap that high with traction problems. However, with a torque number that high, I'd expect the horsepower numbers to be much higher than 400.

I was very near 400 and not making NEARLY 310 torque. I was highly untuned, but still.

Having bad traction problems is an understatement. A turbo B-series in a gutted hatch running only 8-10psi with slicks will run a low 12. To get 400/310 numbers, he's gotta be boosting over 18psi probably.

These are just guesses and obervations based on some experiences I've seen/had. They are by no means true. I'd wait for some more people to chime in, because I'm interested as well.

traction probles or not would a quarter be too short to hit a respectable 12.3 + 132mph. Doesn't that 132mph equate to roughly low high 10 sec run.

actually updated hp and tq numbers were 410hp and 300tq...

Yes, it does equate to a much lower time, however with said traction problems, as 12.3 is certainly possible. When I was fooling around with my setup, I'd used to get low 14's with about a 120mph speed.

If his on street tires i could believe it.

Are you sure about his hp though? I would call BS on it too with those numbers. But seriously get his time slip and then youll know. 600whp cars have trouble trapping that speed.

And also, did you ever say what engine or did I miss something? Just curious.

as stated with an LS those numbers are probably not that off. With my boosted LS I put down 250hp and 218lb ft. not exactly the same ratio but close.

the time the 12.3 sound pretty good because you can usally exspect a 500-600 hp car is about a 10 sec car but i dont know about the 132 mile per hour that is fast
