I would go with what spoon_ep put except instead of a cold air, put in the AEM V2, It has more power gains and sounds a lot better.

Why two threads?

With $1200 and an ep3, just sell it and buy something faster.

Save up for turbo. $1200 for I/H/E and you get 10 hp. $2400 for turbo and you get 40-80 hp

Im guessing by the whp you mentioned you dont have a K series. If thats the case, you didnt gain 30 whp from i/h/e. Countless magazines have done I/h/E on B and H series and you'll gain maybe 5 hp off your first mod, then 5 and then 3. Unless you have a dyno to back it up showing your stock and modded car, I think you assumed way too much.

Btw when i mention HP, im talking legal hp. Nix the testpipe. If i was talking about illegal i could easily say, build your own turbo for $1200

umm i do have a k-series...its a k20a3.. and i did gain close to 30whp considering stock ep3's dyno any where from 130-135whp by what i have seen... many members on forums get those numbers.. i myself never did a baseline dyno so im just going by other peoples dynos which is why i said close to 30whp... and i do have dyno graphs right in front of me, but no scanner to scan them, if not i would have scanned them already...

Race header/cai/Reflash/midpipe 30whp gain.
I've seen high as 167whp.

Put about $4-6K in a good turbo kit and proper tuning, and 7 psi will get over 250 whp in the EP; 10 psi has been set by some drivers for daily use.

As always, there's power to be had, and then some. Just depends on what you want to end up with.

go with the rev hard turbo kit w/ k pro well u have 1200 right now... save it up and stay trouble free. if ur going to stay with the a3... fast and fun = turbo. revhard w/ kpro = 3800. there are other turbo kit that are much better, but hey rev hard is mid range price

An EP with a "true hatch" (that is, high roofline all the way back) and dash shifter plus a faster motor sounds nice to me.

I probably could've bought a type-S if I count the money I've put into mods on my EP. But, it would've cost a lot more money (never mind duplicating the i/h/e/susp./rims I've got now) to take a type-S and extend the roofline & relocate the shifter to the dash.
