I'm looking at this website and I see that they have CF trunks for the coupe for 450 shipped, not a bad price. I emailed them to see what brand they were, and they told me that they couldn't tell me, but that it was comparable to VIS.

Has anyone had any experiance with these trunks? I asked for pictures, they couldn't give me any either.

If they are anything like VIS dont buy it they suck always problems with fitment and **** u should try a seibon cf trunk.

Do you have any evidence of this? Or, are you just randomly posting?

 

i have a CF trunk on my accord and got it for 500 shipped, fits perfect and my friends got one the same time for his 95 civic coupe and his fits like OEM no problems

 

i'm pretty sure all there CF stuff they sell is seibon

had a VIS CF trunk on my 00 si, fit like a beuaty on one side (the left to be correct) the right sides fitment was like the trunk was made for a whole nother car, very disapointed in it, actually so much so, im not gonna get any more CF parts. its a bummer man, cause i got compliments everyday to, those people were far away from the car so they couldnt see the real deal.

I have a CF hood (no idea what brand) but it fits great. CF trunks are quite a bit more than hood, so I want to make sure I get a good one. Anyone else?

 

i have a fiber images hood, great fitmant, but i do want a carbon fiber trunk for my coupe, i would like to know if jdmcarboy is a reputable place to buy from, and if their stuff fits good.

 

Dont have any pics the carbon hood i had from them was on my ej8 and i sold it but in less than 6 months the clear was cracking and spider webbing in like 4 places and in the middle it was starting to fade. I have heard that recently VIS has switched up how they make there products and that arent the same quality as they were before and as far as fitment when i got it it was brand new and no matter how many times i played with it just never looked right. Not 100% sure but i think seibon is diffrent from vis. I recently saw a carbon hood from genesis racing and it looked ok wasnt on a car though u might wanna check them out.

This is what most people say, just because they want to sell parts. Especially on hoods, because most people can't tell the difference in clear coat. Most companies use the same weave. So its easy to say compareable. But i guess this company would hav eto be out on the market for a while to really see if it compareable. Now that I look at the picture they are made by Carbon 8 a sub division of ATW. And the reason they say "comparable to VIS" is because the company they buy from is telling them that.

I havent heard of anyone yet, and i dont know anyone that has posted any on a website. But you can talk to anyone who carries both (Such as ourselves). You may get a deal on both parts, or depending on the car, you might be able to ship the 2 parts together, which would save alot of money.

I don't know, I'm sure they have their own reasons. It might have to do with pricing. Alot of manufactures have strict pricing guides. eg: You can only advertise/sell 15% below MSRP. If they are breaking the rule, they may wish to not name the company, so as not to get in trouble. But that would just be one of many guesses.
