More Questions about smoked tailight
Hi, I did some research on smoked tailight for my 4gen prelude. Actually, I bought one from ebay, it is dull and sandy look, I guess it is spray with some coat on the outside to make it look smoked. However, I found another shinny one on ebay, and I decided to go for shinny look. I was wondering what it used to make the result look so good(in my opinion), was it sprayed outside or INSIDE?
I was to modify my tailight a little bit, not just clear it, I feel it is too bright to blink white. I'm thinking to making the signal light red instead, what you guys thinik? Would it better to spray the paint/coat inside? After it is sprayed with coat, can I still put it in the oven and seperate the lense?
Many questions, hope they can be answered, I can post the link of how the tailight I found on ebay if anybody wants it. Thanks.

If your gonna tinted the outside lense...
To get them to look nice, smooth, no runs, and shiney, you've got cleaned the taillights well and make sure they don't have any sort of grease or oil on them. Then simply spray nice light even coats on the lights and let it sit for a few minutes, then continue this step till you reached the desired darkness you want on the lights. After tinting them, let the lights sit for a while till they dry completely and then apply clear coat evenly on the tinted area, again doing nice even coats and letting drying in between.
this is how mine came out on my car...notice the shine they have, there not dull.
but most likely I'll be switching them up for some red/clear tails.

good luck

thanks it looks nice, can anybody still answer my other questions above? Is that still possible to put the done smoked tailight into the oven and seperate the lense? Soundz stupid, but curious to know. Cuz i might get the one on ebay and mod it.
