It's a Clarion 5.8" wide lcd. My friend custom mounted it where the lighter and ashtray used to be. Honestly, if you want a tv, I'd go with the motorized indash receiver/monitor. It's a little pricey, but not so much of a hassle for the installation. Also, it's stealthier since the monitor folds away. Don't forget, you'll also need a TV tuner and diversity antennae.

 

I want to put a laptop lcd in there so i can keep an eye on a datalogger. How hard was it to get that screen in there? how much di you have to trim away?

Whats the dimensions of the screen? I have an extra Si console from a CRX I can hack up and hook it up for ya.

 

ill have to get backto you on that, the biggest prob im runing into is the screen. Does anyone know if there is any adapter so you can hook up a regular rca plug lcd screen to a laptop? generally speaking they use vga dont they?

 

im not sure what they use for laptops but i can check for you if they make a converter from LCD to Laptop.. out of curiosity.. why do you wanna put a laptop in your rex?

There is.. I just dont remember what it was called. It was in one of my MECP manufacturer product books.

 

yeh but what was the price on it? interesting enough there is an adapter for a ps one so you can hook it up to a vga monitor, so im sure that could be ghetto rigged to a laptop.

 

im not positive but ill look into it.. it maybe a modified plug that is used for ps2 to external monitors.. ill look into it for ya.
