Default Difference between GS-R and Type R trannys?

Yeah, I'm a real noob when it comes to cars.
But at least I try, right?
Ok.
So my GS-R engine blew on my integ.
I ordered this Type-R engine from Cali and I don't think it comes with the tranny.
So here's my question.
I figured a Type-R engine would work with a GS-R tranny.
But what is the difference between Type-R and GS-R trannys?
Thanks guys.

gsr tranny has long gear ratio and a diff final drive then a hype R

type R has LSD and has the same gearing as a b16 just that it has a LSD and a diff final drive

I'm paying 2200 for the engine.
One of my friends said to be suspicious be cause the price was so low.
I guess we'll see when it gets here.

Ha.
My dad said the guy ordered a Type-R.
He informed me yesterday that he's not sure.
He said something about it being a GS-R but with more horsepower.
I got no specs.

Not quite. http://tech.hybridgarage.com/tech/bseries.html

The JDM Spec 96 and 97 ITRs had the 4.400:1 final drive ratio.

No offense but thats the big reason for looking into things yourself when it comes to buying parts for your car.

Letting someone else take care of things only leads to problems.

Don't think a father would trust a son that just blew his engine up to buy a new one by himself. The R tranny has LSD which is suppose to be great. Tell your dad to get the one El Pollo Diablo is selling. Comes w/ATS fd as too.
