i have a code 23 and i believe that is knock...what caused this to become bad so in the future i know what to do....in addition, what is the best and afforable way to go around this...new knock $125 or used $$$??

 

after a while the small electrode in the sealed knock sensor rusts and corrodes, either that a code 23 is caused by and unpluged knock or bad wire..

the prelude knocks root out. and go bad

your lucky you even got a code 23 , sometimes bad knocks go for a while without ever throwing a code and tell the ecu the motor is knocking when its not and it killl performacne and gas mileage

thanks...but i should include the whole family of problems: 21, 23, and 43!....i don't know where to start....i thought installing a msd blaster 2 coil will solve my rich problem.....guess i was wrong..although i didn't hook up a resister yet....deng...

 

why would you install an aftermarket part to try to fix problems with your cars oem electrical system...

that just throws another variable into the equation...
