Tree sap and bird stains on paint
So I lent the civic to my brother for two weeks and he parks under t he tree for shade, great. So now when I get the car back, tree sap and bird droppings have been pretty much baked in the paint for two weeks by the sun. The car was always parked outside when he had it and its been really sunny lately. So trying to remove it, I've tried some bug tar remover spray, didnt work, I doubt warm soap water would work, I've read that Turtle Wax makes this really good sap remover, but before I get it, maybe there is another alternative? I want to use something laying around in the garage, no I dont have a clay bar. I was reading that gasoline or WD-40 works, any input would be nice.
all i can stay is start scrubbing .. the bird poo will/should come right off .. the sap now, i can say i havent delt with sap but ive delt with mildew
I had some bad stains and scratches on my car till I used 3m finish restorer and polish and that **** is awesome. took things off that had been waxed before and did hardly anything.

I used some stuff called "Goof Off". I got it at Menards which is like Home Depot, Lowes etc. There is a rip off brand called "Goo Gone", do not buy that. This stuff works awesome. Ive used it to get sap, anything sticky. If you can get your hands on this stuff it WILL work for you.
rubbing alcohol gets sap right off within seconds, but after you get it off you have to wash over that spot with soap and water or it will start eating the clearcoat.
