installing main caps?

installing main caps?
i'm installing my crank and main caps. i have searched and i just want to make sure. they are marked 1-5 with arrows. is the main cap marked 1 supposed to be placed closest to the pulley and then 2 and 3 so on? with the arrows facing the one?
