Default temp guage of the 5th generation accord

why does the temperature guage on the 5th gen accords only sit about 1/4 way on the guage during normal operating temperatures? most others vehicles sit about or right at the half way point on the temp guage.

you should be glad your gauge is only at 1/4 way... ..that means the engine is not working with a constant high temperature. Thermostast is doing its job and water is cooling down the engine as needed.
