tein coilovers

guys i got tein basic coilvers and daily driving its smooth and **** but when i hit a bump the back hits hard as expletive...it lowered to about 2 notcthes left.. is that normal and someone said something about bump stoppers.. i pretty sure they were put on there when they were installed. if some has a pic of what it should look like i would appriciate it thanks...

Also the lower part of the shock where the bolt goes through... the piece thats welded on that the bolt cachtes on broke off.. and now i just just got a nut and bolt on it.. Could that be it
