how do you use carb cleaner to clean
i actually just went up to the local performance shop to find out that question today... i was told to jsut spray it in with the car off then start it up and it will burn out.... but dude at speed shop said beware and dont do that... if you use alot of it, it sits either on top of the valves or ontop of the pistons... this could cause the motor to hydrolock if you use alot of it... so i was told to take the spark plugs out and spray it in with the car off until its all gone... then turn the car over with the plugs out and the junk will shoot out of the holes... he siad it will be messy so put a old towel over it to catch most of it.

well what i'm mainly trying to fix is my stupid idle. it goes so low it start shaking and wants to die out. i was told that my IAC is gone and i need to replace it. some said i need to spay it with carb cleaner, and others said clean my intake manifold. i have tried all that beside changing it, but none of it has work.
is the idle jsut really low? if so you can adjust it with the idle screw... and if it's running really rough, sounds like its running off two cylinders.. and stalls if you dont keep giving it gas you might have your spark plugs wires crossed lol seems stupid but i know i accidently did it one time
no, the car is running up and down. seems like its at 1300k or so, than drops to 200 than back up and it repeats. my cylinder are running good, compression is good, 180 across. it might be my spark plug wires, it came with the car when i bought it, it looks like the right one for it, but i know its not OEM. i'll try switching with a friend, he got a cx also. but any other ideas guys??
