Can anyone decipher auto zone engine codes? Car throwing 6 codes
Alright, I've been having some transmisson problem so I went to autozone and found out that my engine is throwing about 7 different codes.
1: Code 1 is obvious: insufficient purge flow.
The rest of the code seems alien to me. WTF are they?
2: P0700 - TCS Malfuncion
3: P1753 - Maf. Control Trans
4: P1758 -
5: P1706
6: P0753 - Shift Solenoid B Circuit
7: P0758
The last 6 all pertain to my transmission. I did an auto - manual swap and everything was running good for 3 weeks, after i took it out and kinda over revved on accident (on cell phone and lost, looking for the god damn small street on a busy highway). and all of a sudden, this crap all happend to me. expletive.
Am I suppose to only look at the last 2 digits?
God damn, 7 codes, gonna cost me an arm and a leg. expletive.

they should have this little book that tells them steps in what to look for from the codes...i could bring one home from work but that wont be till tmorrow..good thing is most of the time..fixing 1 or 2 of the codes will fix the rest

"auto trans control system dtc?"
whats that? i have a manual tranny, and supposedly a manual ECU.
how do u tell the difference between an auto ecu and manual?
i'll post some pics if i can.

Sounds to me like the ECU isnt a manual.... If it were, there is no way it would throw any of the Trans Codes. My bro got shafted on an auto ecu with his B16 swap, and it runs fine, just throws the tranny codes, untill he gets his new one.
Anyways, I'd ignore the Auto Trans codes, and worry about fixing the other one first, then replace the ECU, and that annoying CEL light will go off.

well the problem is, when i drive to about 3k. my car crusies by itself, i dont need to step on the pedal.
when i shift to neutral, while at 3k, the engines revs to 4k by itself, and i have to tap on the pedal to let the rev go back down to 700.
lets says on driving on the freeway at 60mph, reving at about 3k or so. i can let go of the pedal and cruise all day w/o stepping on the gas.
i dont think its the ecu, cuz i've been driving for 3 weeks without a problem. this just happend out of no where.

i reseted my ecu, and once i step on the gas, the lights goes back on.
how do you tell if the ecu is a manual?
my car has too many issues at the moment, i hope i can fix some and let the mechanic handle the rest.

well is your transmission control unit still hooked up? it may still be plugged in. And your cruise control unit may still be hooked up...YOu might want to check this i went ahead and took my cruise control unit from my manual parts car and put it in the auto cruise controls place...

notice one says p-75 AT and the other says p-72 MT
take a look at those and also make sure that your auto transmission control unit isn't still hooked up...
here is one pic of a obd-1 p72 manual ecu and a obd-1 auto p-75 ecu
