Default 2000 rpm idle

as the title says im having idle issues... finally got the car to run perfect and then i went to swap throttle bodies... found out that the guy on ebay sent the wrong one so i made a gasket out of a rubber gasket material and put my old one back on... while i had the throttle body off i adjusted the FITV... i took the back plating off and screwed the inside part all the way towards what would be the front of the car... i also flushed my cooling system and put new fluid back in... now my car idles at 2k until it warms up and then it bounces from 1-2k... what do i need to do? thanks for all the help guys

Depending on your engine the iacv (idle air control vale) may be in a different place but on my d16y8 it's on on the passenger side of the throttlle body near the intake tube. The screw was in the same location on my d16a6 and d16z6 so I am guessing it's the same for all D series motors.

i have a z6... the screw is on the tb and the iacv is near the tb on the back of the intake manifold... but not on the trottle body... well i have to be someplace at 5:45 so im going to go try that screw and see if it works

well i tried the screw and it didnt change anything... i also noticed that the throttle body wasnt pulling in a lot of air so i completly blocked it off with my hand and the motor still ran... so i thought to myself "gee i must have a vaccume(sic) leak" i checked all my hoses and theyre all fine... i noticed a leaking sound coming from the bottom of my tb... could i have not made the gasket right and air could be leaking in through where it meets the intake manifold? i put the gasket up to it and it looked a little iffy on some parts but i thought it was pretty good overall... what do you guys think?

gasket is probably not sealing good, spray some carb cleaner near the tb gasket and see if the sound of the motor changes, the rpm will change if its leaking
