Default Pioneer TS-C160R 250watt 6.5" 2-Way Components - Only $144.95!!!

Hello there,

we have in plentiful stock the absolutely superb Pioneer TS-C160R 2-Way Component Speakers.

The quality of music you hear depends on the calibre of the speakers you install. Pioneer is the largest speaker cone manufacturer in the world. So it comes as no surprise that Pioneer speaker engineers are among the best you will find anywhere.

Pioneer speakers are built to withstand all the hazards of the harsh automatic environment – from heat to vibration, moisture to UV exposure and dust. Add to this the latest in audio visual technology and you’ll be guaranteed a sound level of impressive proportions.

This 6-1/2" component speaker package from our REV Series features Aramid fiber composite cone woofers for exceptional sound quality, wave guides for optimal sound dispersion, 1" soft dome tweeters, and hot yellow cones. The TS-C160R includes an outboard crossover network, handles 250 watts max. music power (60 watts nominal), and delivers a frequency response of 30Hz to 32kHz. A projected pole yoke evenly distributes magnetic force for lower distortion, and our Voice Coil Cooling System (VCCS) reduces heat so you can play louder, longer. It also fits GM oversized 6-1/2" applications.

TS-C Technology
Separate mid-range speakers deal effectively with mid and bass notes, while discrete tweeters deliver clean, high frequencies. If your primary speaker location is unsuitable for the projection of higher frequencies, as is often cars with low-positioned door speakers, then the selective placement of tweeter components (either surface or flush-mounted) will guarantee that high notes are projected towards you instead of being muffled down by your feet. It's this separate crossover network that ensures the appropriate signals are despatched to the appropriate speaker unit. The result is a superior listening experience.

TS-D Crossover Network Design
It is worth noting that the TS-D 2-way speakers feature a crossover that is far more sophisticated than normally found on a full range speaker.

The crossover design used here individually crosses over the two speaker drivers to achieve an even smoother overall frequency response. With both models, the tweeter operates through a 12dB/oct High Pass Filter while the woofer cone is directed by a 6dB/oct Low Pass Filter The crossover point for the 16cm TS-D160R is at 4000Hz and for the 6x9 TS-D690R the crossover point has been set somewhat lower at 3000Hz to match more bass driver.

TS-D Speaker Technology
Pioneer TS-D Speakers have a number of distinctive characteristics that set them apart from other speakers on the market.

1. Spoke Cosmetic Design
Modelled after exotic custom wheels, this look is targeted to the performance tuner market.

2. Dispersion Guides
Control sound dispersion for better imaging and staging. These ‘focus’ the higher frequencies.

3. Aramid Fibre Cone
Made from the same material as bullet-proof vests, this material is well-known for creating accurate, smooth and balanced midrange sound.

4. Large Soft-Dome Tweeter with Back Chamber
Extended frequency response and excellent imaging – a proven winner in IASCA competition.

5. Built-in Two-Way Crossover
High quality passive crossover components create a -6dB/Octave Woofer (LPF) and -12dB/ Octave Tweeter (HPF) crossover, creating smooth midrange-to-tweeter transition.

6. Rear Magnet Cover
A rear view to look as good as the front. A consistent styling look from every aspect.

7. High Power Handling
Designed for high-performance amplifiers, to deliver outstanding linearity & dynamic capability.
