90-93 Integra owners w/auto seatbelts.. how did you put in your aftermarket seats???
The seats in my 91 Integra have definately seen better days. I was planning on getting them reupholsterd but it would be much cheaper to go aftermarket..How do I get around the automatic seatbelts?
Thanks in advance!

If you notice the seats of a DA have a unit attached to them on bottom of the seats that are attached to the seat. Once you remove the actual seat itself, the sliding part of the belt the part that slides on the doorway when you open and close the door.....(hopefully not confusing you, im trying here) that mechanism will need to be bypassed. Well how do you do that? What I did was disconnect the plug that is located on your passenger side panel. If you look past the passenger front speaker, pull your carpet aside, you will see this plug I am talking about. Remove this plug and that will stop the beeping because that sumbitch is going to keep beeping if you dont remove this plug temporarily. Then whenever you have the chance, get it bypassed so you can plug it back in and dont have to worry about it laying around. I had to do all of this when i got aftermarket seats w/5 point harness for my 92 DA so hopefully yours aint different then mine. Good luck w/that and lmk how it works for you.
Did your seat rails have a provision for hooking up that big plastic piece down by the ebrake? Did you basically swap over everything from your oem seats to the aftermarket seats?
I had to have the sliders and brackets customized and fabricated to my car. I took it to a shop to do it, but to tell you the truth, I dont know if they are all the way that safe... it feels safe and I got the 5 star rated safety harness to go along with the setup. I have not got a roll bar or anything though, the harness is kinda ghetto drilled to the floor board and I have tested them to see if they will rip or break off in the most extreme conditions and they are still
Just be careful when you do this, I eventually plan on getting the Recaro Type R seats when I have the $$ for it. I have a set of some "JDM seats" from ebay. So hopefully I dont die.

I guess it depends on what seats you get and how they mount into your car. I have Recaros and am using Wedge Engineering brackets. The brackets have a spot where you can mount the little box for the automatic seatbelts. So all you have to do is unbolt the box and wiring from the stock seat and place them on the aftermarket bracket. I believe there are other companies that make brackets with holes to mount the seatbelt box also but I can't think of any besides Wedge right now.
