2nd gear chirp, breaks loose.
In my gsr hatch, when I shift into 2nd, my tires break lose for a good second and bogs the car a bit. Is this avoidable via engine mounts or something. Or is it something to due with my launch. Thanks
no im saying, when i shift into 2nd, my tires break loose and my rpms fall quite a bit vs shifting into 3rd where it falls back to 7100rpms. If I drop my tire pressure more, would that allow the tires to grip faster.

Uhh...dude, re-read what you just wrote, and think about that for a few minutes.

I think he means that when he punchs it in first gear the tires break lose and he shifts second to soon, so the rpms drop and the car boogs because its out of its powerband.

ok i think me and just about everyone else in this thread are scratching our heads trying to figure out what your talking about. when u shift into 2nd, what rpm do u shift at? it goes against all the laws of physics for the tires to break loose and the cars rpms go down. when i used to race on street tires and my tires broke loose, my rpms would fly up and hit the rev limiter.

I think he means, how does he eliminate chirping from 1st gear to 2nd gear. When he shifts from 1st to 2nd he chirps which looses traction and thus he bogs for a bit.

i think i understand what he is saying. i think he means that when he grabs 2nd his tires break loose, but they dont spin completly through second gear, and when they finally do grab his rpm's drop. maybe lol.
