well i got the skunk2 coilovers and they are a good ride. alot smoother. i had that lil squeakin noise for about 4days, but then it went away. i guess it just need time to get settled. plus it all depends on how low u drop it, the lower u go the bouncier the ride will be, it can be a smooth ride if u only drop it like 1inch, but i have mine past 2 inch drop, and its a smooth *** ride. in all people have mixed opioins about different coilovers and springs. some good some bad, in all u just got to chose which one u can afford or which one you preffer. i like the skunk2's those usually go for 411.oo if u look on clubrsx.com, but i got mine for 289.oo. from a local import shop, i got hooked up..lol. well i hope i helped, check around and find one thats good for u, good luck bro.
the Mugen N1's are $3100 US..so I dont think you should consider them. unless u are using ur RSX as a ***** out track car.
What do you want out of your suspension? is it for looks or for functionality on the track? Answer these yourself and it will narrow down your choices.

wow toda already has a fightex coilover setup....how much.....how about engine parts...has toda developed any cams and exhaust manifold....mugen, great stuff...but over priced is what i think...but my plans for the car is for canyon driving.....on the weekends....i have my DC2 with ground controls with tokico illuminas and front and rear Type R sway bar (i have the GS model so i had to upgrade...97' GS)...in combination with mugen front and rear strut towers....feels great and i love the adjustability....but this time around i want to get a system...not mixing and matching parts.....
If you got the $$$ id go for Quantum or Ohlins.
If you dont have that much money, but have quite a bit of money id go for Bilshtein (is that the spell??)
If your soso on money, id go for Apex N1 Damper
If your not willing to spend that much moeny go for Tein or Zeal
Not even that, go for Tokiko or something without coilovers
just my opinion

Fot the money, we have found the stock shocks are very good. A change in springs along with different sway bars will make the biggest improvement. Granted it is a McPhearson Strut set up but it can be made to work quite well. As long as you do not lower the car so it hits the bump rubbers. We have seen all of the top tuners suspension set up and the best one was actually the cheapest to do. Simple springs and sway bars is all you need. That set up was the fastest on the slolom course and skid pad. The article will be comming out soon so take a look at it before you dump a lot money in expensive shocks
