Comparison Skunk2/Koni yellow VS Ground control/stock shocks
CAn you explain to me the difference between two coilovers. On my friend 00 Civic Hb with Ground Control and stock shocks which is not bouncy. On my Type R with skunk2 coilover, Ground control Top Hat and Koni yellow is bouncy like a basketball dribble.. Should I get Ground Control coilover instead of Skunk2 coilover. LEt me know

Thats probably because you've set the ride height so low you no longer have shock travel, just bumpstop travel

Hmm True but what about the Ground Control coilover.. Does it matter of the spring rate make the difference?
Most likely your GC/stock shocks will blow eventually. I rode my car w/GC/stock shocks for about a year, now the shocks are totally blown. I'm lookin to run the GC's with Koni Yellow shocks now.
use ground control/koni yellows. they will give you a great ride. i had GCs w/stock shocks and the shocks blew out eventually. so you might as well get them. i've experience skunk2 along with a couple other types of coilover suspensions before and i have to say that GC's were the best out of all of them.
YEs the GC sleeve for Koni yellow and stock shocks are different. U can look inside the Sleeve and see the O ring hanging which is mean that is for Koni yellow.. IF there is no O ring inside the sleeve which is mean that can fit on stock shocks or other brands..

yeah it does matter, the skunk2 spring rates are more than the ground control, which affects how stiff your suspension is. so it gives it that "bouncy" feel compared to if you had ground control. if you are concerned about ride quality, get the ground controls w/ koni. you probably wont notice any big difference in handling since you are already that low

Get ground control and you can choose specific rates(you could have it stiff or soft). Not related too your question but would love more pics of that R.
