Viper alarms...do they come with kill switches? My car won't even crank...
Hey guys.
So here's the deal...I finally finished my dash conversion in my civic, only to find that my car will not start...in fact it won't even crank. I have power to all my other functions though....gauge cluster, headlights, etc. I'm trying to figure out what I changed.
As I have thought about what it could be, something popped into my mind from when I was removing the plastic cover pieces around the steering wheel. On the bottom steering wheel column cover, I found a small black button protruding from the plastic. Out of my own curiousity for what it was, of course I pushed the button. Nothing happened, so I figured that it was just some useless button...
Could this be a kill switch? I have an older viper alarm in my car, and it seems like this could be the reason my car won't start. I don't know hardly anything about kill switches, so I'm trying to find out what I can.
I would really appreciate your input.
Thanks

if its a small push button, that's the valet switch.
push it in then at the same time try 2 start the car while holding it in.
