just wondering if any one can offer any suggestions i am installing an Style 15 erebuni back bumper valance on my 89 crx and there is a slight gap in between the black molding and the top of the valance i was just wondering what i can do to correct this i have had some people tell me to run a beed of clear paintable silicon around the edge and paint over it when the car gets painted has any one done this i am open to suggestions but please be helpful thanks
It is fiberglass correct?
You are going to have to build the areas up with bondo or bondoglass on the valance to make everything meet up how you want it. It will take some time and pateince, I just spent 2 months (working on it on and off) on a front bumper making it fit like an OEM piece.
I wouldn't use silcon, seen a buddy of mine use paintable silcon to "mold" side skirts, they look'd like hell.
