Default setting up clifford alarm

i've had this clifford matrix rs3 for several years now. i recently got into an accident and the car has been in the shop for 2 weeks. they disconnected the battery and i was afraid the alarm has been reset.

when i first had it installed years ago, i set it so that i would have to manually arm the car with the responder. now that the battery had been disconnected, i was afraid the setting has been reset back to default. being worried that the alarm was set back to passive arming (or whatever it's called), i'm afraid to leave the car without my remote/keys. i looked thru the manual, but couldn't seem to find the steps in toggle the setting between active and passive arming. and how many chirps when setting it up, would indicate what setting it is. can someone give me the steps and what indication is for active/passive? thanks!

I was always under the impression that those settings were stored in the brain, and disconnecting the battery shouldn't effect them.

But this is the first time you've had your battery disconnected in a couple years? wow...

From the factory the default setting is for active arming on th RSIII as well as all DEI alarms. So I wouldnt wory about it. I dont have the manual for the RSIII so im not sure which menue and feature nuber it is but you can get that from the installation manual.

actually, this is not the first time i had my battery disconnected in years. several months ago, i replaced my battery. for some reason, at the time, it didn't come to my mind that my alarm setting was set back to default. it was only now that i thought of it.

i have the manual, but i just couldn't find the page/section that tells how to toggle between active and passive arming. if i remember correctly, i didn't have to go thru the installation guide to toggle between active/passive. it was done with the responder. *confused*

Its going to be in the back of the installation manual not the owners manual. It will have like 3 tables of features. Most DEI you turn the key on then off than hold the program button down until 1 chirp = menu 1, 2chirps = menu 2, 3 chirps = menu 3, then let go on your desired menu. Next push the program button the # of times corresponding with the feture in the table. ie: feature 7, press the button 7 times and hold it on the 8th you will hear 7 conformation chirps. Then with the button still held down to toggle between options you use lock and unlock on the remote. 1 chirp means the default, 2 chirps means the 2nd option 3 means the 3rd so on and so forth. Then let go and turn the key back on and off you will hear a long chirp confirming the exit of program mode
