Default stock deck vs aftermarket, wiring questions

ok first i need to know what wires i need to connect my sub with my sub BOX. theres two places to connect the wires positive and negative wondering what kinda wire i need? cuz i want to go ahead and connect it that way i can screw my sub into my box

second, why is stock deck differetn from after market? beside power and look, functions, how come the wiring up a sub is different? my friend said if I use my stock deck he needs to tap my rear speaker or soemthin? so if I get an after market deck is there like a plug on the back or soemthing? i've seen many and it uses the same harness so i dont understand. the main thing is ease of installation. should i get an alpine deck then?

the wires from your sub to the box is just standard speaker wire. You will probably wont want to use anything smaller than like 16 guage wire. A after market deck has whats called preamp outputs. That is what sends the unamplified signal to your amplifier to run the subwoofer. If you use the stock deck they do not come with these outputs and you must use a line level converter connected to the stock speaker wires to get the audio signal to send to your amp. When you install any deck alpine or who ever you use a factory wire haness that converts your factory radio plug to wires that are the same color as the wires on the back of your aftermarket deck so all you have to do is basicly twist and tape, solder or crimp or whatever, the wires together.
