well i figured out y my quarter mile time suck with the 5 speed. The 3rd gear in teh dx tranny sucks BIG NUTS. I finally raced something at the track besides a 13 sec mustang... a ZX3 and i got teh holeshot as usual even beat the v8s but i kept with teh zx3 till i hit third gear... the 1/8 mile mark .... i hit that and then he pulls passed me runs a 15.5 and i run a 16.3.. so in final thoughts DX tranny even though free sucks asssssss i think with a closer geared tranny 15s are way easy for teh d15 with a junkyard mpfi setup and all now to find a reeeaaalllly cheap si tranny unless teh hb or crx dx tranny would be better but i think they have a diff final drive than the 4dr but i forget

 

crx dx tranny has the same ratios. expect .3-.5 faster times with a Civic/CRX Si tranny.

 

What about with turbo? I'm not turbo yet, but I hear it is a good tranny for turbo.

I wonder how quick my 4dr DX would be with an Si tranny (and d16z6 w/ dx tranny) I raced a b16 4dr (with just the driver). My fatass 'bout 225lbs and my 2 friends bout 220, and 150 lbs. and lost by a car lenght.

 

hmmmmm...interesting. I wonder what my b16 4dr runs.

 

I ran my car once and I hit 15.0 with 17's on. That was last year. I hope now since I tuned my car I should be in mid to high 14's.

 

CRX-DX, hatch-DX, sedan-DX, all have the exact same tranny with the exact same ratios.

 

Actually, according to my factory Honda manual, sedan transmissions have a shorter final drive than HB transmissions.

 

yeh i said teh final was different but any how teh third gear sucks
