Default Gauge Cluster problem...

Alright, when i bought my car it had this gay Eurolite Dash kit thing, and it was just complete Rice.. so i took it out today and now i have couple of issues:

1) Speedometer only works if lights are completely on (doesnt work if just parking lights)
2) Tach only works if lights are on (parking or driving lights)
3) I cannot see the white "pointers" at night (if lights are on or off)
4) When i turn the key, only the Oil Light turns red (and your check engine, battery and oil usually do), but if i turn the car on with the lights on.. all 3 lights will turn on
5) I think my speedometer might not be registering the correct speed..

yah its alot how can i fix these problems??

thanks for the help

I'm confused, I'm not sure what the "Eurolite Dash kit thing" is. Did you take off the gauge faces? or did you swap the whole cluster?

How was it installed and how was it removed? Sounds like some wires may be crossed or touching something else. An APEXi RSM will solve the trick! J/K.

However, I would check all the connections to insure proper wiring connections.

What exactly is the circuit board? The ECU? Other than the ECU, it's just wires and connectors.

take out ur gauges and ull see it behind them

but the problem was:
1) Dimmer switch was dead
2) Missing OEM Circiut board (i only had the gay Eurolite one)
3) Fried some lights

Total: $260
- $120 for new gauges (old milage was 73,000 - now it says 43,520 )
- $140 for labor (4 hours of new wiring and such)

oh well, its fixed now
