Default Replaced timing belt, now it's sounding/driving odd.

So I took my 91 Accord EX Wagon (129K, AT) to get the timing belt changed this weekend. I got it back and noticed several things:

1) There is a whining noise coming from the vlave cover area.
2) When I have my waggon at WOT, it is LOUD! (it sounds fine when driving normally).
3) I'm noticing a slight lack of power (esp at WOT).

What could this be?
On the outside chance that the timing is a tooth off, is it safe to drive 'til I can get it in the shop next weekend?

I hope it was a reputable garage. If it is, they should fix the problem for you.

I don't know if that aplies to timing belt... but... ...maybe it's too tight?!... I'm just guessing..... ...you should go back to where you got the timing belt replaced and ask them to check it for you... and make sure they don't charge you for that "recheck"!!!
Good luck!

It has a tensioner, it will only get so tight.
