Default PLease Help, Alarm Problem

10 days ago my dad bought a minor used Honda Accord, and today its alarm randomly goes off, and dosent shut off till 10 mins, it was extremely embarassing. My car's alarm contains a red blink, i dont know how to turn it off when it goes off.. Please HElp

You can shut it off by inserting a door key and unlocking the car. Once you lock the car, the alarm will reset.
If it's the factory Keyless Entry System, it's a rudimentary intrusion alarm; protecting the doors and trunk only from forced entry. No motion detectors, ect. It operates by sensing increased electrical load whenever a bulb turns on.
If the doors appear properly adjusted, I'd check both the trunk lid (Trunk lamp turns on when opened), and the glove box door (Glove Box lamp turns on when opened) for proper adjustment. Either one could be right at the point of turning on a lamp, and could do so from vibration, thus tripping the alarm.
If they appear ok, pull the "security" fuse and get it to a Honda Dealer.

this is a very common problem on your 1958 Accord Dx, you can simply unplug the flangthorpe or jumper around the gutentite.

If it's aftermarket, just pull the fuse. Could be at the battery, or on the harness under the dash....
