what year engine is the replacement tdc sensor from? The reason is, Honda has a habit of making the first year of every generation a ginnie pig (88-81, 88). So, if you have an 88 motor ( I do and ran into this problem with my dizzy rotor), and buy for an 89-91 it won't fit or visa versa of course. Hope that helps.
