Default OEM alternators

my bro wants to make a budget ICE car with an 2003 honda civic ex. since high output alternators cost over $300, he was thinking of finding an OEM honda alternator thats rated higher in ampres from a junk yard.

are there any honda OEM alternators that would be a direct fit or close-direct fit into a 2003 honda civic ex? the factory civic alt is only 70amps and thats very little.

i know the accords run an 110amp alternator, i was wondering if those would work fine?

You would have to check and see if the mounting locations are even remotely simliar. Then you should check to see if the rest of the rest of the electrical system will accept the increased amperage. Give it a try and let us know.

I have an alternator if he is looking for one.. its off a 2003 Civic EX. No longer need it due to K-series Power.
