Battery Connected the wrong way.
So this girl I know put her battery in the wrong way and shorted something out. Now nothing comes on. I'm sure it's probably just a main fuse but was wondering if someone would be able to put me right on the source. Maybe they've seen it happen and know what to check. Any input would be great. Thanks,
Adrian

Ive heard of this causing some real serious problems. Just start pulling fuses and check them. Bump for some more help.
yeah a friend of mine once connected jumper cables to my car wrong. it didn't blow any fuses though. just caused a constant 12 volt drain on the system and nothing worked. swapped the cables, and everything was good to go. guess i got lucky that either the battery or ignition fuse wasn't killed.

Yup same here. But it was this one chicks dad that was jumping my car. Just blew the main fuse. For the meantime he cut a soda can and put it there so I can get on my way. Haha.

Don't blame a girl, we all know it was you! j/k</TD></TR></TABLE>
Yeah that's what I figured but I know I'm not that big a stoner to connect the cables wrong. Where exactly is this fuse at?? In the box under the hood wright?? Thanks

yes. Under the lid there's a diagram that labels all of the fuses.

I did this as well and it blew the main fuse, I replaced it and my audio fuse and now it won’t shift into park unless I manually bypass it. Any ideas? The Shift release system fuse is fine, so I’m guessing maybe the brake switch? Although I don’t hear anything from the solenoid when I depress the brake pedal either.
