Default JDM Headlight Confusion

Ok, so I've researched this and the more I read the more confused I get.

I bought jdm headlights from ebay and they have all the bulbs and connectors attached. Do I still need a h1 to h4 harness? Or can I just cut the wires and attach them to the new headlights?

i made my own conversion. i took the outer bracket ring from a h4 bulb and put it around my HID ballast. It worked good and fits great.

Im not worried about hids for right now, I just need to know if I can cut the wires on the the car and splice them into the new H4 JDM headlights
