Default Modify B16B Issue Part 2

Hi, my setup is a b16b with 12:5.1 Comps, Arias forged pistons and fuell head work (Skunk2 Stage 2 Cams, Skunk2 Ret/Springs, Aem Adj Sprokets, Ferrea Valves, P&P Etc) Last dyno tuned 180 Whp / 130 Trq.

i just add some rc 310 injectors, thinking the more gas the better, but then again, the leaner we got the engine the faster, does anyone had an idea why is this? doesnt more gas work better in high compression setups? my big worry is blowing the engine up, but then again i want to squeezing the more power out of it. will an APEXI VTEC AFC resolve all my problems?

what kind of engine manegment are you on? most of the time you will make more power on a leaner fuel mixture ,the thing is is that you dont wanna go to lean cause that a lead into problems an extremely lean motor will cut parts like a cetalyne torch, you could get a vafc but.... for a few foodstamps more you can invest in an hondata or somethong comparable and be able to fully tune your motor right to the limit

am using a p30 and p28 modify ecu's with the help of a friend that works on the gas maps, he is pretty good at it, but i guess from time to time is a guessing game, trial and error, i will make a run for it to see if the last change we did help on the track, last 1/4 run 14.6 at 95.11mph, that will be the turning point if am going with hondata or going to dyno and play with the tunning adding a wide band and data logging.

You need some real tuning for sure. Each different setup needs its own tuning and will like different A/F ratios and ignition tuning. Get maybe crome or uberdata and get some tuning. Your making good power for a 1.6, so tuning will only help.

You are so right, i just came from the track, and my best run was 14.8 @ 93.11Mph honestly my next step is going to the dyno and seting it up with an apex v-afc system. i will make a part 3 with the results. Thanks again to everyone..

get a wideband, use chrome or uberdata and tune it yourself
