The S300 is a better system and not that much more. With the S300 you do not need a romulator and a chip burner!

Get whatever your tuner will support. It'll do you no good buying a specific standalone if you can't find a competent tuner to program it.

I'm happy with my s200b

the right tuner would be the most important. i've been running hondata for 4+ years, from stage 2 to s200b, have no experience w/ s300, its not worth the extra money for me, i'd choose if starting out fresh, but hondata doesn't support upgrades or gives discount toward upgrades from older versions so i'll stick with what i got

What are your goals w/ this engine? How much boost will you be introducing to the motor? Setup?

30 PSI on a B18C5 and minimal maintenance don't go together.

If you are infact boosting a stock c5 motor then I would limit it to about 8-9 lbs.
But I would trade the block for a GSR block...R motors and Boost don't go together.

i guess different amounts of money mean different things to different people, but i'm being serious. isn't it ~5k, for a fully assembled brand new motor?

The cheaper Spoon motor is just a JDM ITR motor assembled by Spoon. Go buy one and assemble it yourself and you will save a grand or two on your longblock.

HAHA...screw that. Ill be running an SR20 in my Civic....

Spoon motors usually run about 6k. If you were a man made of money an ran endurance races, these motors may be the way to go provided the rule books allowed it. For any average Joe, you can do alot w/ 6k and have more power then a Spoom motor.

I really feel like having a Spoon motor a couple of years ago was just a novelty thing...

Take a look at neptune also - it may be a bit cheaper.

In that case, Crome or Uberdata would also be a good choice.

I enjoy Crome....

Don't have an R or anything - i actually have a Prelude......

Anyway, I got my s300 in a few weeks ago. Its very good. Even if you're not a pro at tuning, you'll understand it way better once you get the s300. Its very user friendly - and no, I don't work with hondata or anything.

Its damn good........i bought the hondata, p28 ecu, socketed and everything for $717 shipped..

Great deal IMO.
