when the motor is cold and i try to start it would keep turning over. i have to try several times for it to start up. and when it does the idle surges dramatically. it seems as if it is about to cut off (popping and back firing). i gotta give it gas to stay alive.

i changed out the cap and rotor, checked the ICM and coil with a volt meter but i may have to re-test (i was rushing it was cold as hell outside). The battery is brand new so thats not it.

everything is normal when the motor is warm............starts up nicely.
