Finished LS swap, Not sure what TRANNY i have. TECH HELP Already search, still unclear
Hi there, I just finished an obd0 ls swap out of a 90 LS. Put the motor in and the tranny code is s1.
Gears are super short. I am talking around 3300-3400rpm at 60-65mph on the freeway.
I have done my research on here and this doesn't sound like a LS tranny. I heard this tranny could be a b16? or jdm integra had a cable tranny that was an s1. I emailed the guy who i bought this from but he didn't know what tranny it was.
I can get a picture of the tranny if it would help at all.
I went to the junkyard and checked out some of the old school obd0 ls cars out there. And they all have y1 tranny's in them.
Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

FWIW, the 90-91 teg LS trannies are shorter geared than 92-93. They have the small input shaft like the B-16 cable tranny.
