Default my tranny is shot...

well this morning wen i was driving to work... i was jus driving normal not hitting vtec and all of the sudden it wouldn't go into 5th... it looked and sounded like it was in, but wen ever i let out the clutch, i would jus be reving and grinding and not goin n e where...

so i came to a red light... confused... i turned left went thru the gears, and wen i got to 4th, it did the same as 5th... so i tried to go to 5th and it was still the same. and by that time i was gettin pissed....

then i came to another light, and wen i took off from that one, i couldn't even get to 3rd.... i'm glad i was close to my work, but i dunno whats wrong... i can't move the shifter over at all... its always on the 1st and 2nd side.. and now its always in 2nd.. no matter where the shifter is... so my dad came and picked it up and was planin on takin it to a shop but for sum unknown reason all the shops near me are closed....

anybody know whats up with my car??? i have a short shifter on it and i kinda think it has to do with that, but not really... i've always had probs with my 5th, like it always pops out wen i hit bumps and stuff, if i'm not holding it in. but any help would me much appreciated!!!

o and btw if there are any mechanics near the lewisville tx area that can come check it out that'd be awesome.
