Default help me get started on my dohc zc build (parts,machining,ect..)

i have a dohc zc(turbo'd) but its stock, and im in an automotive school so i figure what better time then now to do an engine build.
i want to be able to boost atleast 20psi, not have to worry about over reving... my hp goal is 300-400. so if anyone has any advise on parts or any good info on how to do a good build let me know, oh and if possible i wanna keep it under $1500 (including any machine shop work).....so heres what i can think of so far:

arp head studs
thick head gasket (which brands)
pistons (i found this package deal what do you think?? http://www.dh-racing.com/pistons.html )
rods (i was thinkin of using turner toys rods...what do ya think?)
timing belt
water pump
valves
springs
retainers
cams (exospeed regrinds??)
cam gears

and what kind of machine work would be suggested for this set up??

thanks for any info

Well sorry to tell you but a zc stock sleeves can't hold much over 300. So your going to need to throw some darton sleeves or something into that combo.
apr head studs - good cant find part number sorry
head gasket - oem or cometic 89 integra i believe
pistons and rods - kit for 800$ on dh

Also you will need a computer and you may want to think about cams. What are you trying to keep under 1500 the engine build or everything?

</TD></TR></TABLE> ok where can i find sleeves?? and does the sleeves need to be installed by a machine shop?? if so about how much does that run (because i want over 300hp, if im gonna spend this kind on $$) and yes the piston/rods are $800 (i posted the link)... what kind of computer do i need?? (do you mean ecu?? if so i have a chipped pr4 w/t.e.) and im tryin to stay under $1500 with parts and any kind of machining....im prepared to go over (if i have to) but im tryin to stick to a budget...(because i still have to build some of the turbo stuff also i.e.: bigger turbo and new piping)

Dh-racing.com sells the sleeves and or will install them. Its 1000$ installed from dh. I am runnin zdyne but you can get cheaper so i've heard. You need to run a tunable ecu running this high of boost. I have seen people on thezcr.com converting ecus for other people to be able to run boost. You can convert to obd-1 if you would like and run hondata, chrome, neptune or whatever ecu program u want. Umm you also need to get a 92-95 civic radiator or some half sized radiator because turbo will be in the way. What size turbo do you plan on running?

Sleeving definately needs the services of a good machine shop.....its not a DIY project, precise machining is needed.

Why can't stock ZC sleeves handle over 300hp? (insert reference to numerous threads of OEM sleeves making 500+ at the wheels)

Tuning is key.

Pistons and rods from any d16 engine will work in the ZC.

I think your shooting to low on the total cost of building a block.

Is your current setup even capable of producing the numbers that you are looking for, a built block isnt going to make 400whp if the setup can't produce.

right now my setup wont produce over 300hp. my set up is: 91 ef hatch, dohc zc, t-25 on a hf mani, dsm injectors(440), dsm bov, a prh ecu with turbo edit......and i have a jrc 6" intercooler yet to be installed
