I have this lil knocking noise now coming from my front passenger side.. i only hear it at take off from a stop. Was wondering if it's my tie rod that needs replacing and could an unbalanced wheel be the cause of this...

I'm going to need a little furthur info in order to help.
Is this a one-time knock as you take off?
Does it do it more when you're turning or going straight?
Does it do it while in neutral/park or only while moving?
Does it do it over rough roads or all the time?

There are several things engine/trans/suspension that can cause a knock. Any additional info can help allow me to pin it down for you

it does it everytime i take off from a stop. i dont hear it going over bumps or turning in either direction. And i drive on asphalt 99% of the time.. but here in quebec, it's pothole ridden

 

The only things that immediately come to mind....
Loose brake pad in the r/h caliper
Loose r/h motor mount
Movement in the lower control arm bushings.

This may turn out to be a rather drawn out process, 'cuz really I've been more successful using the "touching, banging and prying" method to find noises. I'll help as best I can from here, ... hope we're lucky
