Default new wheels/tires, now i have a whistling noise?

hey guys

i know this should be in the wheel/tire forum, but this is kinda urgent.

i put new wheels/tires on today and after installing, i took it for a drive. but now my car seems to have a low whistling sound? what could be wrong?

i torqued all the lugs down to 80... it is hard to describe the sound, but its there and its getting annoying.

help!

Im not positive but im almost sure you got nothing to worry about. Not the same situation but txr tires( these are for trucks i know) anywhere above 20 miles an hour you get a low whurring hum. Some tires are just loud cuz of their tread pattern or material

Some tires are noisier than others. When I had Kumho 711's on they howled while driving.

if the tire has a derectional tread pattern. than yes it can be mounted backwards.

Truck tires vary from a low whurr to a headsplitting scream depending on the tread pattern, tread depth, and speed the vehicle is moving. Wouldn't surprise me if compact tires are the same way.
