A few pics from World Challange Practice @ Laguna on Thursday
Here are a few pics from practice at Laguna on Thursday. When I left on Friday the top six cars had all bettered the track record, and the top five were within a half second of each other. Cunningham had was fastest with a 1:37.410...
The track has been upgraded for the bike guys since last year. The curbing is lower and smoother in most places and gravel traps have been leveled, deepened and extended in some places. There was a LOT of dust from offs and spins. More than a few blew the cork-screw and just straight-lined it thru the gravel. The race ought to look like an Iraqi sand storm...

I weigh around 220, can cunningham pull the ballast and just throw me in there?
I'll be quiet. I promise.

i LOVE this pictures. nice stuff. http://leaderboard.vfx.com/SCCA/tc/LiveTiming.asp
top 3 qualifer look at how close PD and Pobst is.
1. Cunningham 1:37.008
2. Pobst 1:37.015
3. Stretch 1:37.484
I like Pobst but also glad Bob got 2nd row! Andrie sits at #30 with 1:41.899 about same time as his best practice times. Kenny Yim improves from 1:47's to 1:45.408 in his EP3 Civic still back of the pack.

Andrie did not run pratice on Thursday. I did take a few photos of him in turn two yesterday, but I have not processed them yet. Maybe post them later in the week...

Short update from Laguna while I'm taking a breather from a hectic weekend.
Ran on Friday practice and refamilaize self with the track.
Thanks to Doug from Hondata, the motor is strong and trying to get into rhythim and get shifting points as well as braking points.
Second practice start to push the car harder and changing the suspension setup a bit. Got to 1:41.86 within a few laps. Things are looking good as I can see where I can cut a second or so. However, a mis-shift changed everything as I blew the motor moment later.
My crew, Chris, Jimmy, Charlee, Sean and Jim pull an all nighter to change the engine with our spare engine. Unfortunately, our spare motor is a bone stock K20A which we ran in Honda Challenge.
The 'old faithful' didn't dissapoint as I pull a strong driving to qualify at 1:41.89 with sticker tires. I am pretty confident I could cut more than a second if I have 40 more HP the World Challenge spec motor has.
I'm hoping I can keep a decent pace in the race tomorrow with my Honda Challenge spec car!

Big Thanks to Johnny Mac, Steve Elseworth, Sam Rothschild, and Big daddy Thawley for stopping by and showing the support. It was fun hanging out with you guys and what a great comic relief!

Shawn, it is nice here in Cali! Thanks for the kind words. If only I didn't blew the motor, I think I could dip into high 1:39s. It is a could have, should have situation.
PD been carrying lots of weight almost throughout the season. PK just a few races old.
