Default Motor just revving to redline after startup. d16y7

long story short.. shifted from 2nd to 3rd and i could not give it no more gas, but my RPM climbed erratically. Pulled to the side..started the car back up and the RPM instantly climbs..like someone is giving it gas. (climbs all the way to probably redline, have a DX so no tach yet)

i'd have to check on that.. because when we swapped the y7 for the y8 mani there was a check engine code because we didn't connect the sensor to the intake arm. Car sittin at work now so i'll have to check up on that. i'm hoping it nothing too bad.. i couldn't see anything yesterday it was too dark. thanks for the help
