I have a jdm h22 in my 97 accord coupe ex. The mounts being used are a shaved drivers side prelude mount, and all other stock mounts( all of them are not broken). The car has horrible vibrations around 1k and even when moving it vibrates and little things in the interior ex: door handles , dash components. , not visibly just audibly. The worst is the steering wheel at 1k. Any how what could be causing this I heard the ex rear mount is weak so i figured that might be it. but all help is welcome.
I always heard that when swapping in a prelude motor use only accord mounts...maybe the driver side mount is touching the frame, thus the vibration.
Swap out the prelude mount for your accord mount, I believe that the prelude's mounts are bigger than ours.

EX rear mounts are not weak at all. In fact, they're really ****** solid. I swapped mine out only to find that it was in perfect condition after 8 years and 139,000 miles of bigtime abuse.
Either, as suggested, you've a 'grounded (metal/metal) motor mount (transmitting otherwise normal engine vibrations or............
Were the timing belts serviced b4 the H22 was installed? A real long shot, but they (Balance shafts) could be out of phase.

Umm actaully the ex rear mount is a really weak mount. It caused me to blow my differential in the tranny bc of excessive motor movment. I replaced it with a lude rear mount with a insert and love it. I dont know if u have had that mount with a h22 bc if u did u would notice motor movement and vibration when hitting bumps bc the mount doesnt do **** but let the motor move all over the place.

yea so we figured it out, where changing out the accord rear mount as well as the transmission bracket to prelude hardware. This problem was is that there was frame rub against the tranny.
