hey i have a crx si with a ZC in it.. however im putting a b16a in there soon..
i saw a post by someone selling spoon parts which included cam pulleys,cams and valve spings for the b16a...he wanted 2500 australian for the lot about 1250 american is it worth it....
also im planning to turbo the vtec b16a down the track so by buying spoon products will this work against me and be of no use down the track..?? i.e is it better to get type r products??? im kinda confused becos someone told me spoon products wont work well with turbos but JUN , toda, type r parts will,...how and why?? whats the difference?

If you're going turbo in the future I'd just buy ITR valvesprings and retainers and then an ITR intake came and GSR exhaust cam. Probably the best setup you could go with if you're going FI.

Spoon has some good stuff. Avoid the cams and pistons and thier crate motors. That stuff is just a waste of money. If you plan on going turbo, then your going to want low compression. But as for the Spoon internals working with turbo, im not sure iv never seen it done. If i was you i would save your money for the B16 first.

 

I personally would always stick to Honda-Acura OEM
Second to none when it comes to quality.
When it comes to FI, new OEM parts and internals,
would still hold up.

Coming from an owner that has owned these parts once before.. Stock will never fail. Spoon sells their product with the assumption that it will be maintained every so often.. Cha ChiNG !! Stock R retainers and springs are fine as well as stock R cams for a B16.

Do you see spoon turbo cars? No, their cams are designed for all motor. But, they give Honda the specs and they produce the cam, how OEM can you get than that? However who knows til you actually dyno it with your turbo, never know, but I went spoon cam gears, ctr cams, itr springs, crower tit retainers, so I mixed it up, hehe. If your going all out turbo, get a turbo cam, otherwise a ctr will be cool, i like mine.
