tranny/ axel problems on my B16/ LSD CRX... i think... please let me know
alright... i will give you all the full story. Tonight i was riding around in my 89 CRX Si with the JDM B16a swap with the LSD Tranny. I made a really sharp turn (like i had many of other times) and when i straightned up my car started making a thumping noise and like thumping really hard. So i pulled over and checked my motor mounts and axels and they looked like normal. So i didnt know if it was just a rough road or what. So I tried again and it happened again. If I excelerate at all it make a noise and rocks. Well I pulled over again and started checking it again. I can crank the car up and rev like crazy and it is all good... but if i try to drive it feels like the car might fall apart. So i jacked it up and looked again... the only thing i can see is where this shaft comes off of my tranny on the driver side and then connects to my axel... it might have been pulled out or broke something right there where the shaft connects to the tranny. When the car is jacked up and the tires are rolling at about 1500 rpms... I can see the driver side axel and the shaft going to the tranny moving in and out... So I think where the shaft goes into the tranny is the problem. If anyone knows anything about this please let me know. I am clueless when it comes to trannies. Thanks
