Default radio changes on its own

i have a 2000 coupe...after the stock radio stoopped working i put in an aftermarket radio with a steering wheel adapter so i could use the steering wheel controls. But when i turn the wheel, it changes the station/cd track up. Before i take out the adapter, has anyone ever experienced this or or know anything i can do?? thanks!

I think that a call to the radio manufacturer's Customer Relations Desk, or Technical Assistance is in order. My reasoning?

My Crystal Ball hasn't worked in several days, I can't decern what Radio you're talking about, and my audio manufacturers repair manuals were eaten by my exceptionally large dog.

I'll take a stab (a really 'blind' stab) and quess that either some sort of pressure is being applied against the adapter, or if it requires hard wiring, you may have a bare wire.

Without seeing it, everybody's going to be guessing.
