SI VS. HF ENGINE BAY HARNESS
I HAVE A 88 DX AND I GOT ALL THE WIRING HARNESS THAT GOES FROM THE ECU ALL THE WAY TO THE CORNER LIGHTS FROM A SI (90) (ALREADY ON MY 88) I WENT TO A JUNK YARD AND FOUND A COMPLETE HF ENGINE BAY HARNESS (91) AND I NEED TO KNWO IF ITS JSUT A PLUG AND PLAY OR ARE THERE ANY PINS I HAVE TO CHANGE AROUND... PLEASE HELP!!!
I used an HF harness in my swap. I'm pretty sure their were pins that had to be switched. I will have to check with my friend who did the wiring end of this project.
if you could come up with any helpful info on this i would really appreciate it.. thank you ... remember is a SI tryign to use a hf engine bay harness...
I just went through this when i put my daily driver together (90 HF).
After researching it, i read a few times that the 90-91 HF shared the same engine bay harness as the 90-91 SI. This is not true, there are MANY pin differences. Many of the ground, sensor and distributor wires were not only in different spots, but switched to the opposite side of the harness.
I dont know about the 91 HFs, but i can say for sure that my 90 HF does NOT share the same engine harness as the 90/91 SI.
I do have a spare 90 si engine harness now, which is what you need. Email me if you want to talk. I also have a complete 90 HF car side harness if anyone else in the similar situation needs it.

GOOD LORD
Someone tell this guy that a DPFI to MPFI conversion is easier!!!!
http://www.rywire.com
Give me a call, i'll explain how wrong it is to try and use a whole chassis harness from one of those cars. You need to convert your DX harness, not throw another in there, it's not possible to install a HF/SI engine harness on a DX chassis harness.
The conversion is $160 from rywire, you've probably already spent $40 at the junkyard, plus a bunch of time. Let us help you, please

rywire dood.... let me break it down for you:
88 DX BODY
90 SI CHASIS HARNESS
91 HF ENGINE BAY HARNESS
99 B16 MOTOR (WHICH HAS OBD2 DIST AND ECU AND I NEED OBD0)
NO LONGER HAVE THE DX CHASIS HARNESS.. AND NO I DONT HAVE THE COMPLETE B16 HARNESS SO I WAS JSUT BETTER OFF GETTING THE WHOLE SI/HF WIRING HARNESS AND ADDING 4-5 CABLES FOR THE VTEC PART OF IT (CHASIS AND ENGINE BAY) MY PROBLEM IS HOW TO MAKE THE HF ENGINE BAY WORK WITH THE SI CHASIS .... NOT HOW TO GO FROM DX TO MPFI... WHICH OVERALL ITS PRETTY MUCH THE SAME....... OR AM I BETTER OFF SJUT TAKIGN MY FRINEDS SI HARNESS APART AND MATCHIGN IT TO THE HF ONE? SEE I WANTED TO GET AROUDN ALL THAT SO THATS WHY I ASKED FOR HELP... IF YOU KNOW A EASIER FASTER WAY... I'M OPEN TO SUGGESTIONS

I may be interested in swapping you your HF engine harness for my SI harness, but anyways give me an email at rioninja@hotmail.com, rather than posting this stuff here.
