Default ZC and Si Flywheel Difference??

I have a question. I have a 1991 CRX Si and bought a DOHC ZC (engine year is '88) to put in it. I will be using the stock Si tranny and Stock Si clutch set up. I'm looking at the two flywheels and the one off the ZC is lighter (less meat on the backside) than the Si one. Is there any difference between the two that I should be aware of? Because the ZC one is lighter I'm leaning toward using that one.

Any feedback would be GREAT!!

the 91 clutch disc and pressure plate will not work with the 88 ZC flywheel - the 88 uses a 200mm diameter clutch, where the 91 uses a 212mm diameter clutch - the recess in the flywheel for the disc is smaller on the 88 and the holes for mounting the pressure plate are not the same

Ok. So what you're saying is if I tried to bolt the clutch onto the flywheel then it will not line up, period, if the flywheel is indeed the original '88 one.

Let's say I try to bolt up the clutch just for HaHas and it does line up? Then do you think I'd be ok using the thing? The reason I ask is because nobody really knows the "past lives" of these engines and who the hell had them in what, so along the way someone else could have changed the flywheel. At this point all I know is the one on the ZC is lighter than my stock Si one.

Not trying to be PITA, just want to be clear that it's the actual bolt pattern that will not match and not some issue that would only surface when I go to actually drive the thing.

Thanks for the help!

actually, if the engine says 88 on it, it probably is from 89 model year car - in any case, if the engine has the original flywheel, the 91 clutch won't bolt to it - if, for some reason, it does have 90-91 flywheel, then you could use your 91 clutch on it without any problems - just try the clutch on the flywheel - you will know real quick if it fits and if it does, use the ZC flywheel - the other option is to use the smaller 89 clutch, but i wouldn't recommend it - much better off with larger clutch

I'll try it out and see if the clutch will bolt to it. Thanks for the help!
