Default itr transmission question

just woundering if an ITR transmission would be a good idea for a built turbo b18c, i heard it was a bad idea seems how the ITR was made for NA use only and that the factory lsd was not ment for use one a turbo application any other opinions would be great

It is indeed a good transmission. The gears are very short, but you are also running a B18C motor. Using that tranny on an LS might be a little strange, but you should be fine.

Most people don't go that route because it's quite expensive.

As for the LSD in there, it depends on how much power you want to make. The general consensus it that it won't hold much over 300whp. Even less if there's lots of loading/unloading of the wheels/differential. This might apply in situations like autocross and road courses.

I was making over 300whp, and my ITR LSD grenaded inside my tranny. It took out basically everything in there.

Yeah it is a good idea unless you rebuilt your tranny for a turbo setup.
